Design of advertising posters for the Blois School of Art

Introduction & Background : 

As part of a fictitious project, advertising posters were designed to promote the start of the 2020/2021 academic year at the École d’art de Blois. The school stands out for its commitment to introducing young audiences to contemporary art, facilitating enriching encounters with artists and their work. This project aims to capture the attention of children and their families, and spark their interest in contemporary art and the programmes offered by the school.

Description of request : 

The main objective was to create several fictitious advertising posters for the start of the new school year at the Blois Art School. Each poster had to have a unique design while containing the same written information. The posters had to be modern and uncluttered, capable of capturing the attention of passers-by and encouraging them to take an interest in the school.

Direction :

To achieve this objective, a number of key steps were taken :

• Trend research : An in-depth analysis of current trends in graphic design was carried out to ensure that the posters were both modern and attractive.
• Creating the posters with InDesign : Using InDesign to design striking, visually distinctive posters, while maintaining a clean aesthetic. Each poster, although different, shared the same essential information.
• Preparation of files for printing in bus shelter format and standard advertising posters : Preparation of print-ready files in bus shelter and standard formats to ensure optimum print quality and effective distribution of the posters.

Thanks to their thoughtful design and attention to detail, the fictitious advertising posters created for the École d’art de Blois capture attention and effectively promote the start of the 2020/2021 academic year.
